there is so much music here to check out it is mind blowing...and trying to cover all the bases i am having a hard time getting past 1971...i am working my way towards 72 and beyond but i keep getting pulled back....

so here's one for the "WHOA...HOW DID I MISS THAT" section. the june run of 70 that i have heard so far is just amazing....the vocals and the energy and clash of styles -- al things came together that month it seems.... like the curry that year was of a high standard, but this is one of the months when the spices are blended just perfect and the coconut milk is particularly rich and the shrimp pop in your mouth and you are SATISFIED....particularly, the Fillmore West shows, 6/6 and 6/7 are just outstanding...

but this jem from the east coast at the famous capitiol theatre is what;s it's all about...the whole set is fantastic....but particularly from the dark star out of attics to the end of the set and on through the UJB encore

if you didnt know, now you will, if you knew already, now we all know what you knew...

(ANYBODY EVER heard a SBD of this set....THAT would be something!)

1970 is one of my favorite GD years for the intense, energetic jamming, and this show's a standout even in a year of wonders. Other Port Chester shows from 3/21, 11/5, 11/6 & 11/8 are also full of magic....can't praise them enough.
